The Dazed.

" But don't blame me for wanting to see my friend again. "

Brought into the Vast against its wishes, dragondudes3 finds himself stuck with many an unfamiliar face, and can only hope theirs won't get washed away too. Armed only with the knowledge and tools it kept away from him, dragondudes3's abilities allow him to keep an entity busy, and away from the others.

Abilities

Hammer Throw

Hammer Throw

dragondudes3 enters a stance, holding his hammer in the air. During this move, his movement speed is reduced significantly. While in this stance, hold M1 to charge and throw your hammer in an arc, the distance increasing with the charge.

Striking the entity with your hammer stuns them, scaling with the force of the hammer throw. After throwing the hammer, you can retrieve it by walking over it, reducing the cooldown of your next hammer throw by 10 seconds.

Upon activation, dragondudes3 immediately freezes in place for 1.5 seconds, their avatar turns black and shows a loading symbol. This move acts as a counter, with the entity being Slowed and Silenced for 4 seconds if they attack dragondudes3 during this ability, and giving him a speed boost. If dragondudes3 fails to counter an entity's attack, they are briefly staggered, making him an easy target. Do note that attacks not coming directly from the entity, such as Father's gifts, cannot be countered by this ability.

Techniques

Since dragondudes3's Hammer Throw works on activation like Jacob's shotgun, you can use the Hammer Throw animation to bait out entities into jumping and wasting valuable stamina. Bare in mind that this is not as easy as Jacob, as dragondudes3 suffers a short movement speed penalty when putting away his hammer.

dragondudes3's counter, Pull The Plug, requires you to read the entity at a moment's notice and know when it is going to hit you for the counter to land–otherwise you are left dead and dry. The most opportune moments to use Pull The Plug include:

  • When the entity is desperate (the timer is low, leading to it hitting more often and frantically)
  • When JX1DX1 is charging at you
  • When the Stone Men are about to hit you
